Based
on Chinese celadon's in the same cargo and its composition
of ceramics, it is tentatively believed that Turiang sunk
sometime before 1371.
It
is possible, that a merchant vessel loaded specific wares
for different markets where the best profits could be obtained
and may therefore not reflect on the type of wares available
at such time.
